WOW.... Today I found out that I actually learned something during a challenge for the FebVSN!! The most amazing part.... I 'retained' it!! wooo hooo
It was FEBVSNK >>gottastamp<< was the hostess that picked the challenge "Painted Picasso's". In her words: "This is a technique used to creatively shade or accent your work and bring it to life. Ink stamp with light color ink.Using a paintbrush, brush over a dark color inkpad and apply ink to already inked stamp by brushing the dark color over the area's you wish to shade or accent."
Anyway, I used this technique on my flowers, and here is my take on this week's "Inspiration Challenge"
Here's a link to the challenge (IC25) and it shows a picture of the inspirational piece. Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

Great card Joan! I did mine with marker, but you're right, painting the color on is a really pretty look! Thanks for teaching me a new technique... I am going to have to try it!

Love your card. Into my favorites because I'm going to have to try that technique. All you missed from the inspiration was the line to make the check payable to me. Great coloring, great layout. Did I say I love your card? Oh, yes -- I did. tfs
