It was also made for Anna's How Does Your Garden Grow MIXed media challenge. My initial thought was to use my wildflower stamps from Monday's TLC. But I also had this lovely bamboo background. And I did have a lovely bamboo which I grew from seed and nurtured for many years, but alas in the big snow of 2010 I didn't bring it indoors early enough and that was the end of that. One day I'll grow another one - but I won't have a panda to sit under it.
Gel printed background on a book page with TCW bamboo stencil. I went to find my Stampendous panda and then remembered this one from Unity, much easier to cut out. I cut one bamboo from black card, and the other from a failed piece for Brenda's DTGD challenge. Now totally unrecognisable, as I sprized it, Versamarked it, embossed it with gold and verdigris, wiped it with metallic rub-ons and pretty much threw everything at it.
I sprayed the top corner of the page blue so that I could add the star. Also coated it with microglaze and rubbed in some Perfect Pearls. Added chunky gold EP and a star die-cut from my trusty stash of tomato paste tubes. I added the little panda and the sentiment which goes with him, popped up on foam. Edged this with a black Sharpie and added it to a matt gold base edged with black Stickles and with white Enamel Accents dots.

Holy Cow!!! This is stunning. I love every inch of it. Your star and all the golden beauty around it is fabulous. Glad you could use that piece from my challenge. Your panda is too cute and you did a great job with that bamboo.

Sabrina, you have created a wonderful magical bamboo forest for your little panda. The nighttime sky is beautifully done too. A delightful and charming card.
