Somehow or another I managed to combine a LOT of challenges. The color challenge has some pretty colors & I think they are a nice combo for Christmas so that's the direction I went. And it looks like I have a lot of dessert since I used way more than a touch of gold. For all the details on the DTGD Challenges, go to the Dare to Get Dirty Forum ..but you'll need to be a Fan Club member. It's sooooo easy, so take the DARE!
I used Copic markers & a gold Krylon on glossy paper to make my bg layer & the poinsettia petals. The greeting was stamped onto the brushed gold w/ the warm violet ink & heat embossed w/ a transparent sparkly powder. Then all I did was put it all together.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups & the inside: The Write Stuff

Julie, each time I scroll down to write my comment, I scroll back up to steal another look or two or three--this is so amazing and the techniques have me wondering! So rich and elegant.

As always you have created another work of art Julie, i will have to say I love everything about it.
Your DP is gorgeous and I love how you have brought it forward into the poinsettia.....and created your ribbon to match. You can never have to much gold. Thank you so much for playing in the challenge.
Amazing card, Julie! The sketch, layers, colors, embls and your inking..each is so fabulous. I feel like I'm looking at a party dress that was just finished by a master. TFS and thanks for visiting my gallery

Personally I don't ever think you can have too much gold or metallics in general! Gorgeous Christmas card Julie and an amazing job combining all the challenges!
