I went out and bought nail polish and a disposable tin tray after the Nail Polish Marbling tutorial featured in the Weekly Inkling - and never got round to trying it out till last Friday when I had a day off. Talk about fun...I made four backgrounds while I was defrosting the freezer and cleaning the fridge.
For this card I trimmed three long strips from my background piece, and coloured an embossed Doodle This flower with Twinkling H2Os to match. Added some leaves die-cut from a brusho background and a button centre. Added lots of doodling, and two tiny butterflies hovering around the sentiment.

That is such a fabulous technique and one I've never tried. I love your card...so striking and unique. The doodling looks great with the strips.

Your card is bold and beautiful - and so well designed! I love how the long bold strips emphasize the long narrow shape of the card itself. It's amazing!
