I have been working on about 30 hand-stitched backgrounds to make about 30 hand-stitched cards as a gift for my Mom. I'm afraid that I borrowed one of them that I will replace to make a special 80th birthday card for a lady who is extremely dear to me.
After watching a YouTube by Jennifer McGuire where she did various basic hand-stitches on a die-cut with the holes already poked out by a cross-stitch die. I didn't know that such dies (this one was made by Paper Smooches) even existed, I'd been looking for some time to find ways of making cards that had the look or actual stitching on them. I've already uploaded a card that I made for my Mom's 80th...
This is a close-up of the front of the card to see the stitching details. The card is sitting on top of the flap side of the envelope, you can see some of the foil die-cut embellishments used in a grouping, many of the same silver foil embellishments found on the front of the card and a couple of cross-stitch hearts in other sizes.
Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to look at my card. When you leave a comment, it absolutely makes my day!!!

Ooh, your stitches are perfect! Having done cross-stitch myself, I looked carefully and saw that your stitches are in the same direction (I learned that from my mom too), and the tension is even! Beautifully done, my friend! Hugs and love! xoxo
