This is for Mary's Color Challenge with dessert - Christmas in July. This week we have an extreme heat warning with temps expected to be above 105 degrees. It was refreshing to think about Christmas and cooler weather. I stamped the tree in Smokey Slate and lightly went over the base, trunk and branches with Granny Apple Green marker. Then I added marker dots in Berry & Apple and generously applied Wink of Stella glitter pen over the baubles and trunk. The tree is so sparkly when it catches the light. I die-cut the tree panel, layered on apple green, popped up over embossed slate panel matted on berry. The sentiment was colored with markers in the three colors and die-cut into a banner. The ends are popped up and the middle is curved upward. Finishing touch is a Bitty Bow in Berry Burst. I enjoyed making this one and now, I'm dreaming of cooler weather ... Thanks Mary. Thanks for looking.

That beautiful evergreen tree is certainly a classic, and one I love. By stamping the tree in gray, and then adding touches of green and berry, you made an inviting winter's scene. I love the layers, the dots, and the pretty multi-colored banner. The little bow is adorable, a perfect finishing touch. Beautiful card!

Ooo, I can imagine how gorgeous that sparkle is with all the Wink of Stella! Love all the layers, including the snow embossing folder, beautifully framing the gorgeous Christmas tree. Thanks for joining the team this week and stay cool!

Diane this is such a gorgeous card! I have favourited it with intensions of casing the heck out of it! I love the beautiful layers in the borders and that speckled embossed background. Of course the image is one of my favourites too - though, for some reason, not one I have used often. I think that is about to change. :-)
