This card is Kim's kids challenge which was at the beginning of day two of the challenge, Kim said Summer isn't complete without kids blowing bubbles. But add some color, and Wow! For this project, I saw many different tutorials with different tips.
I wasn't going to do the kids challenge because mainly it was on very early for me 2 am in fact and technically I'm not a kid although some would dispute this. However when I was doing up my excel sheet of all the challenges and the thumb nails of all the cards I realized it was the only challenge I hadn't done.
Everything just fell into place. I discovers a piece of card stock I had cut weeks ago and got some ink on the back of it and so had discarded it into the scrap draw, it was the perfect size.
I went to grab my Merry Christmas die to cut out the merry and discovered I had used the Christmas part of it some time ago leaving the merry that was sandwiched onto some card stock and only needed some glitter.
The actual background.....well what fun and so easy.
I have every Jo Sonja's acrylic paint including some that you can only purchase in the USA, so it was just a matter of choosing which colours.
I mixed 1 part paint to 2 parts washing up liquid (no water) in a plastic cup (1 for each colour) blew into this with a straw and then placed my card over the top of the bubbles. I did it a few times to get the right coverage.
I left it to dry while we went and did the groceries etc. etc. and then just put it all together. It took less than forty minutes, 20 minutes gathering everything together and doing the background including cleaning up ( I made very little mess surprisingly)
Then when I came back to it just put it altogether. Gluing the sequins took the longest .
Thanks for looking, this really is my last VSN card
Cheers Marg

Wow, Marg, what a beautiful background and what fun it must be to create it -- I used to LOVE blowing bubbles as a kid! Hehe! Anyway, I love how you've transformed this background and used it to make a a gorgeous Christmas card! I love the die and how it sparkles! So glad you've made yet another card for this month's Fan Club/Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge! Woohoo! Hugs and love! xoxo
