My mother-in-law asked me to make a card for her twin sister for their birthday. So I used this sentiment that I had made up on the computer and saved for future use. I really love the sentiment. This is for Misti's VSN challenge of Ice Cream Social. The picture reminded me of this stamp. So I stamped it and cut a quick mask and sponged Worn Lipstick around it. I managed to match the Worn Lipstick color pretty perfectly with my Spectrum Noir Markers (CR4 and CR5) for the spots that were still white. This was going to be a very CAS card, but I just didn't like all the white space, so I kept filling with DP, and score lines, and pen lines. I'm happy with it now.
P.S. I'm bummed that I only got to participate in one of the VSN challenges live tonight. Next VSN I'm sending my family away! I mean, I came home to a mess of a house and had to clean it up, and then help my husband move the washing machine so he could work on it. Next time. But I still look forward to seeing everyone's creations and making my own in the next week!

Fabulous!! I have this image and yours is the very best coloring of it that I've ever seen. Well done! Into my favs. Terrific card design. I know what you mean about interruptions. Really stops the creative thought and dampens the mojo. My DD got me a closed/open sign to hang on the door of my craft room! Love the sentiment you used. Looks like a great card for one twin to send to another. TFS

This is super fun Jennifer! I think that every time we have an event here at SCS, "I am going to make supper a super easy meal and I am going to request the time" but somehow something always comes up! Still, it's fun that you were able to create one and this card is a beauty!!!
