The card base is a standard A2 sheet of Stampin' Up! Pool Party cardstock, folded in half. The shiny bubbles specialty paper is from the "Myths & Magic" Designer Series Paper that coordinate with the "Magical Day" stamp set which contains the cute mermaid and seahorses I stamped with Memento Jet Black ink onto SU Whisper White cardstock. The mermaid and seahorses were hand colored with Copics markers, then die cut out with their matching dies from the SU "Magical Mates" Framelits Dies. I did a little extra trimming of the mermaid using small paper snips around her hair, tail, and arm to remove excess white that the die doesn't cut out.
On top of the bubble specialty paper I attached a 2.75"x 5.25" piece of clear acetate that I had first run through my Big Shot inside the SU "Seaside" embossing folder. I used Mini Glue dots to attach the acetate since the specialty paper underneath was "bubbles" already,
The sentiment (from SU "Endless Birthday Wishes" was stamped on a die-cut banner (also from the SU "Myths & Magic" Framelits Dies) piece of SU Whisper White cardstock using SU Tranquil Tide ink. Before I did the stamping, I used small paper snips to trim a thin section of the long edges and the banner ends of the die cut piece. The stamps are photopolymer, so they could be bent to fit the trimmed curved diecut. The sentiment banner was then glued to a piece of SU Wild Wasabi cardstock that I had run through the SU "Seaside" embossing folder.
Before attaching the sentiment banner to the card, I die-cut six "seaweed" branches (a die in the "Myths & Magic" set) from SU Old Olive and SU Wild Wasabi cardstock. These were attached to the back of the banner with Mini Glue Dots. I then used adhesive foam strips to attach the banner and its seaweed to the card front.
The top portion of the mermaid was also attached to the card front using adhesive foam strips, but because the banner was already raised off the card front, I only used Mini Glue Dots on her body and tail to attach her to the banner.
The two sea horses were attached using small pieces of adhesive foam strips.
I like how the acetate "waves" add a third color and layer to the card (per the sketch). The texture of the waves really adds a lot to the card's underwater feel.
I am rating this card as a difficulty level of "2" out of a possible "5" only because of the hand coloring of the mermaid. If you have done coloring before, then you will find this card very easy.
I think it's super cute for a little girl (or teenager) as a birthday card!

The specualry pPer is bubbles that are higg gloss, and shaded a subtle gree. But you could tey an embossing foldee that has random small circles to create a similar look. It would be best if the corcles on the embossing folder where different sizes. I thinkk the SU "Sofly Falling" EF might work in a pinch.
