Toni is our hostess for this week's WTUI challenge, which you will be able to find HERE once it's gone live.
It was a little bit of a challenge for me (which is good, isn't it!)), but I'm happy with the card I ended up with. I looked at both the sites Toni gave links to, and was inspired by this quote from the first site: "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
- Robert Brault. I was especially pleased with my idea of using Enamel Accents to give them tiny little bulbous eyes. If the ability to view attachments in older posts had been fixed, I'd have linked to the photography challenge thread where I shared a photo of the pottery seahorse my dad made me - but it appears that it's still broken :-(. Anyway, it was just to say that I love seahorses...
DOX sponged on and spritzed (broken china, salty ocean, mermaid lagoon). Twisted citron for stamping IO CAC wavy lines. MB seahorses cut from watercolour paper and sponged with wild honey , fossilized amber, vintage photo. Enamel accents for eyes with a dot of black. Joanna Sheen seaweed sponged with lucky clover. Sentiment from an old Flourishes set (humming along), stamped in Versafine Deep Lagoon.

I can’t tell that you struggled at all. This is not only beautiful with the rich colors, it is a perfect interpretation of the challenge with the fitting phrase. I love it that sea horses meant something between you and your dad, too.

Well then you would love the seahorse weathervane that I had custom made for my husband a few Christmases ago! It's fabulous. I'll have to send you a pic. This is a stunning CAS card, Sabrina, and I love the Glossy Accents eyes too
