DH's birthday is coming up, and he asked for some music software called "Band in a Box". He asked so late that it won't arrive in time, but at least it inspired his card, which I had been finding it very difficult to come up with any ideas for.
I used the principles of the pop-up box card tutorial, but changed the dimensions to suit the stamps I was using, and I only inserted one strip into the box.
I used a strip of card 7" high by 13 1/2" wide, scoring at 2 1/", 6 1/2, 9 and 13, and 3" up from the bottom.
I created wood panelling for the inside and out, and music for the upper parts of the closed card (embossing and sponging), and added a belly band made of grey card stamped with Music Notes, and a birthday sentiment plus another label referencing his gift.
