My card was inspired by High Tide Lighthouse by this week's Featured Stamper GracelynsMommy. Such pretty cards to choose from in her gallery!!
Instead of masking and sponging, I used my Clarity brushes to create the morning sky. I also mixed in images from my favorite SU stamp set, Waterfront, to stamp the background. I changed the theme to sympathy.
I realized too late that I left the space for the lighthouse on the wrong side of the sun, and don't have time to fix it this morning. I'll keep this as my "wrong" sample and restamp another one before mailing it out.

Stamps: High Tide and Waterfront by Stampin' Up, May Strength Surround You by Unity
Paper: Recollections White
Paper Size: 5 x 7
Ink: Balmy Blue, Tranquil Tide, Creamy Caramel, and Baked Brown Sugar by Stampin' Up, Lulu Lavender and Rich Cocoa by Memento, Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, Versafine Onyx Black
I think this is gorgeous. I love the soft colors of the sky and sun and the tree line. Don't tell anyone about the sun being on the wrong side because the card is so beautiful.....no one would notice.

I love how you are combining your stamps for this scene. I love this pretty one layer card. I will have to try using my brushes for my skies. Thanks for the tip.

I agree with everyone else, I wouldn't change a thing. I didn't even notice until you pointed it out and I'm sure the recipient won't either. What wonderful words of sympathy as we do celebrate the life. I love this scene.
