I am also continuing to celebrate with Shery Russ and her Stamplorations crew (5 year birthday, Congrats Shery!), and I was inspired by Ina's floral card here. She uses a technique I love - white embossing with a floral, then adding color - but I went with sponging rather than watercolor.
Stamped and embossed the flower stamp 2x, and then sponged with colors. I tried to loosely stay within the embossing, but I knew that it wouldn't be perfect, but I like the "messy look". Splattered with water and blotted. Stamped the sentiment, then splattered with white acrylic paint and some diluted black. Added sequins for sparkle!

I knew this was your card before I looked at the name, Maura. It's just beautiful and you did a great job with the inspiration colors.

Wow, Maura! You continue to delight me (and all of us) with your GORGEOUS cards! I agree with Polly that your work just pops out of the gallery as "Maura" cards! It's stunning with the flowers and your colors, and it's perfect for the inspiration piece you chose! I love it! How wonderful that Shery is celebrating five years! What a neat husband and wife team, and you've certainly honored her and the DT. Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

Maura, your inspiration piece comes through beautifully on your awesome card. The embossing and coloring throughout the card are stunning. The diagonal blue sponging looks fabulous with the striking purple flowers, and the sequins are great embellishments. Love this remarkable piece of art, Maura!
