For this card, I wanted to try working on spotlight stamping with background stamps. I started with stamping Simon Says Stamp Cora Background stamp onto some fog cardstock, using fog dye ink from Simon, which was cut to 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches and with the use of my stamp positioner, keeping the position intact, I stamped the same stamp onto a Bristol Smooth cardstock using Versamark watermark ink pad. Using the Clear Embossing powder, I heat embossed the background panel on the Bristol Smooth paper.
Using the inks, Mustard seeds, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Bricks and Seedless Preserves I ink blended the panel made I made with the heat embossing on the Bristol smooth cardstock. Then, I die cut the hearts out using the Reverse Confetti Cuts All Over Heart cover die and placed them onto the fog cardstock.
When you look at it straight, you can see the continuation in the pattern with pops of color on the hearts in between. It looks stunning!
For the sentiment I used the SSS Love Stamp from the Hey love release and stamped out the sentiment on some black cardstock using the versamark watermark ink pad and heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder. I die cut the word Love from a gold cardstock and the shadow using vellum cardstock.
I placed it onto the panel using some foam tape and placed the entire panel onto some A2 sized top folding cardstock. I embellished it with some sequins of coordinating colors.
