Doubling up in the gallery with this card. Having been health challenged myself over the past 6 months, I can really relate to Priscilla's plight of missing being in the gallery. I also love cats and being a singer/songwriter, this personalized card has a lot of me in it, too. I knew I wanted to use this kitty and the song "Smiles" came to mind. I googled it and found the musical score image. I deleted the title and replaced it with a new title. The cat, which was colored with Distress Markers, was cutout beautifully with the Scanncut, even around those whiskers! I used the resist embossing technique, leaving a little white shadow behind the black sentiment and lightly brushed and sponged in the Distress Oxide inks to resemble the Ombre technique. Added the Washi tape to balance out the composition.

Oh my, Lori, this is adorable and so perfect for sweet Priscilla! She is going to LOVE it, and I know it will greatly encourage her. I absolutely love your kitty who is truly singing her heart out, and what a masterful card with all the details. I am quite impressed with the Scan 'n Cut results. Beautifully done! I'm so sorry that you have had health challenges yourself -- I can identify with that and feel for you both. It's so hard, isn't it? Praying that you both feel better and be encouraged and loved by so many of our precious Splitcoast friends! Hugs!

Very clever take on score! I never thought of a musical score even though I used to go in and read them when we had (dim and distant past) a proper music department store. Now it's cramped into a very small shop and much more functional. Love the colours, love the way your created the title and your name as the composer. What perfect washi tape, too.

Lori, dear: that Scan-n-Cut is a keeper, for sure! Those tiny whiskers are just a tremble with song and all the love you put into this production is coming through loud and clear.
