Kia has challenged us to make celebration cards today. {Happy birthday, Kia!}
I had a hard time deciding what to do, but I knew I wanted my card to say celebrate and to have a balloon, so here it is. I've never used this Mini Messages set before and I was kind of frustrated that you can't actually line up the words to make a seamless background, but it's good enough. I also haven't used my Verve Treasured Words set yet, and I love the fun style of the sentiment.

Love this Jen, and especially the negative balloon, ... don't tell me you do not have a Misti ... lining up is a breeze with it. Thanks for playing along with today's CAS challenge.

PS... Mini Messages wasn’t made for repeated background stamping. It was originally intended to be 2-step stamping. First stamp the word box and then stamp one of the images on top of it. Hope that helps. It is a very old stamp set.

I thought it was a piece of dp, Jen! I wouldn't worry about the words not lining up...Verve has so many nice fonts and sentiments too! So sad they are going out of business...

ooh those are such tiny words they would be hard even with your knees bent peeking under at the rubber.
I really love how the color peeks through the window for the balloon too.

I saw you used your stamp-a-ma-jig and that usually works wonders - must have something to do with the layout of the words on the stamp itself. Still it makes a great bg for your die cut peekaboo balloon and I'm betting the recipient will only see the overall vision and nothing else. (We are always our own worst critics)
