I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge to "Frame It." There is still time to play along and send some encouragement to a lovely gal who needs it. To be honest, this card made itself in a way. I was just fiddling around with the Painted Petals set that I had just purchased at a recent garage sale. After I was done stamping the image panel was pretty "flat" looking so I set it aside. Then I checked out this week's Teapot challenge to frame it and I knew that is what this card needed. I use 2 dies to cut the frame, then I add 3M mounting tape to the outside portion and I glue the inside portion directly to the card. Thanks to Jan (aka Precious Kitty) who is an expert with stickles, I bought some nuvo drops and I carefully added them to the flower centers on this card, and what fun this is to do. Who knew? The yellow was needed to break up all the pink. And with all these flowers, it simply called for a butterfly so I stamped this one from bugs and slugs, colored it with copic markers and fussy cut it out. This card was fun to make because it took on a life of its own and progressed rather naturally which does not always happen for me. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Very pretty card...I like how you said this card made itself...lol...but it was your eye that saw something in it and made some beautiful! I love the embedded look of this..really cool and I'm sure Lillian will, too.

You are the best at framing on a card. This is so soft and pretty in the pink and green. The yellow and black butterfly is the perfect touch with the yellow Nuvo centers. I love this!
