Here is my second card for this weekÂ’s color challenge.
Our hostess Mary, chose Dapper denim, Tangerine tango, Sahara sand and Soft suede for dessert. Dessert was used on the branch the bird is perched on.
This Hero Arts bird stamp has 4 layers to it and used the second generation stamp method on 1st & 2nd layers, by stamping off once on textured paper towel before stamping on card stock. The third layer of the bird is full strength ink, the 4th layer is the beak & eye in Sahara sand as is the birds legs.
I like the results of stamping off on textured paper towel which gives the bird a mottled look adding more interest IMHO.
The leaves on the branch were 1st stamped in Sahara sand then stamped in tangerine tango, 2nd generation.
The confetti background is stamped with 2 colors, Dapper denim & Sahara sand.
Lightly sponged edges and stamped sentiment.
For a little sparkle, added copper metallic thread & bow before matting.
Dry embossed background on dark brown CS, popped panel up on dimensional foam.
Thanks so much for looking and appreciate your comments.
I look forward to your creations!

Beautiful card Jeannie! The second generation layered stamping of the bird gives it almost that Impressionist look, and the wood embossed background is the perfect background for it. Very lovely!

I love this stamp and love what you did with it, Jeannie!! I love the woodgrain textured bg and the earthy look of the colors. The twine treatment is so cool too!
