A big congrats to Cindy, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a lovely little gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the mottled & mostly green bg but somehow changed most everything else.
I had this bg in my stash...made on glossy paper w/ alcohol ink refills. After placing it in my Misti, I stamped it (minus the windmill) onto the bg. First time, it didnÂ’t work because I used Memento ink. That ink wiped right off of the glossy bg. So I did it again using Ancient Page. ThatÂ’s my go to ink for glossy surfaces when I donÂ’t really want to use Stazon. I stamped just the windmill on the right of the white frame & did a little into the window on the left of the windmill & die cut the oval center. Added the greeting & a black layer & done!
Congrats again, Cindy! Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & the inside are on my blog; The Write Stuff

Yessirree...I would SO take that day in the country. I miss the farm so sometimes I would ask DH for a small drive out of town just to get out of the city noise. Beautiful scene here, I would so visit. I like how you did the colorful bg...so crisp with that black frame...TFS..:0)

That alcohol ink bg really puts the spotlight on you farm scene but my favorite thing about this is the striking contrast of the black & white stamped framing. Beautifully done!
