Background was made with the Rolling Marble technique. Rolling Marble Background Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers After rolling the marbles with dye ink, I rolled a marble in silver shimmer paint and went over it again to add some sparkle for the fireworks. All of that was done on white paper. When I decided that I wanted a fireworks scene, I used the Pacific Point watercolor pencil to fill in the white with watercolor blue.
Colored the truck with watercolor pencils as well. Added silver details as well as Crystal Effects on the headlights and windows.
The flag was colored with markers directly on the stamp. The pole is a toothpick. The finial on the flag is a gold brad top.
Grass was colored with markers directly to the paper.
This COULD be a Father's Day card if you went all out and had fireworks for your Father's Day treat. Or if you are like our family and we can't get together for every holiday--we combine them.
I'm laughing as I look at these. All my rolling marble pieces are square cards. That's because I roll my marbles in a square plastic dish with lid and cut the paper to fit the square container.

Really cute...your marble bg turned out great! I know what you mean about using a square container..I did , too so I cut mine down with a circle die. I like the patriotic vibe to this!
