This is my 2nd sample for CC690. Pam is our hostess and she chose cherry cobbler, crumb cake and marina mist for her color trio. Dessert Option this week is the beach.
I created a card with a porthole and a little ocean scene behind it for my dessert option on this card. I have seen a number of cards on Pinterest with a porthole and an ocean scene behind it. So I thought I would give it a try with this week's colors.
The card background is embossed with the Stampin'-Up "pinewood planks" embossing folder. For the porthole, I used the CottageCutz pierced wide circle frame die and then added my waves paper behind it. A few rhinestones help define the porthole.
The clown fish is cut in cherry cobbler cardstock with the clown fish die from CottageCutz.
The Dad phrase is cut with the Stitched Alphabet die from CottageCutz. The stamped part of the sentiment is from the simply fabulous sayings from MFT.
To complete this card I scattered a few star metallic shapes. Hope you can play along with us this week. Pam has chosen some fun colors to create a card.

You are getting ready for Father's Day! This card is adorable with its clown fish viewed through a porthole! I love the rhinestones around the porthole, too. Must be a very ritzy yacht you're on! :-) The Dads in your life are going to receive some amazing cards!

Oh, Mary, another beautiful Father's Day card! You are really putting these colors to great use! I love the porthole with the little fish peeking through. The addition of the rhinestones is fantastic and draws one's attention to the porthole. The DAD die cut sentiment is lovely! You've got a great start on Father's Day cards!

Another super design for a Fathers Day card Mary. I like the porthole, especially with the rhinestone feature! The embossed wood plank background has great detail!
