These colors took me way outside my comfort zone - after all, no green for leaves. Then throw the beach dessert in there and my lips were frozen for three days just thinking about where to go with this one. So I am actually pretty happy with how it turned out in the end. The cherry cobbler sky might be a stretch, but you know what they say, Red sky at night, sailors delight.....however, my sentiment is about stormy seas,,,,but hey- I'm still happy with it all. Happy Tuesday everyone - aren't all you flower haters glad I don't pick the colors every week???? haha. Happy Tuesday!!

Wow, Karen! What a fantastic card with the gorgeous beach scene. I think the cherry cobbler sky turned out great with the large moon and beautiful water. The front panel is beautiful with the birds, twine, and gorgeous brad. I love the torn cardstock sentiment! Great card, Karen!

Yeah, but "red sky in the morning, sailors take warning!" So obviously yours is a morning sky, which goes perfectly with your inspiring sentiment! I love all the little details you put in this card, Karen, from the antique brad (I love those things--how many boxes of them do I have?!?!), to the twine, the silhouetted birds, and the circle window. Love this!

What a gorgeous beach scene Karen! I love the layout design, so much to see near and far! I laughed out loud with your sailor’s delight saying! Haven’t heard that in decades!
Your card even has a patriotic vibe which makes it all the more special!

OUTSTANDING use of the colors that have created a fantastic scene. I didn't think of the sky being red until I read your description because it looked perfect. You aced this one and what a great use of this SU set.
