This is the halfway mark for this year's Christmas Challenge for Fan Club members, and I hope you'll join us for June's Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge.
I've used another never-been-used stamp and colored this funny ole owl. Strangely, I actually thought it was a penguin. Ha! I have a dear friend who absolutely is crazy about penguins, so perhaps that's why I thought it was a penguin (and bought it five years ago). I found some sweet DP to use that was my color palette and colored it - and then was not very creative with the layout. But I did get creative with the sentiment and found a cute font. It works, right? So as the deadline approached, I finally ended up framing it with the DP and matting it in white. I adhered it to some textured Bazzill cardstock that always seems to add some character. This will go to a friend of ours who will get a kick out of it. He thinks he is pretty wise (and has a great sense of humor)!
I hope you get inspired to join us as we make our 2018 Christmas cards throughout the year! Stacy (Twinshappy) has shared some great challenges so far this year, and I hope you'll join in! More cards are appearing each month, and we are all working hard to make more Christmas cards this year! Yay!
I am also entering this for Robin's Free For All challenge today, "Baby, It's Cold Outside." This is for a "cold" winter's night at Christmas time with this Christmas Owl excited about his tree!
Thanks for taking a closer look at my card! Wishing you all a wonderful week and a happy June! Hugs, all!

Hoo-hoo-hoo! This is totally adorable. I definitely see how this could be coloured up as a penguin! Totally fun card. I've not had time in the Rubber Room for the last week or two. Lots of things on my calendar - hope to get creating again soon. Hugs to you!

Cheryl this is adorable!! I really do think you could make this into a penguin as they do look similar! Your coloring and framing are exquisite! All the attention is drawn to that fabulous expression!

As always, I can marvel at your coloring for hours, Cheryl. Your owl with the perfectly placed highlights on his hat and body looks very 3d and soft. I want to just tickle his tummy. What an adorable image you used to make a terrific holiday card...i need to check out that Christmas card challenge since I never get many made.
