Carey's simple sketch threw me for a little while. I'm in graduation card mode right now, so I had to do some browsing on Pinterest to get the idea of a banner (don't know why I never think to use banners--I really like them). This card is for a friend who asked me if I could make her a graduation card for a boy who is graduating from Chariho High School. Their colors are green and white, so I cut the green strips for the banner and heat embossed the year in white. I stamped a bunch of graduation caps on white cardstock and colored them all in green, but it proved to be too busy for the background. So I went digging through my DP for something simpler. Glad I did, because I found the perfect simple white paper with light green and grayish splatters on it. I think it looks great behind the banner and keeps it simple enough to be a more masculine card.
