Inside card are the lyrics to the song. Scott McKenzie was a one hit wonder as far as I know.
Inside the card, I also have a picture of the Grateful Dead from their first album in 1967. Picture was taken just south of the city. I did save a couple old magazines from that era. Hopefully, whomever gets my card will enjoy learning about that year.

It's a great evocative card. There used to be a 15 minute broadcast every Sunday from an English broadcaster living in SF, and although it could be about all sorts of topics, the ones that described the city always interested me. The stamping on vellum looks wonderful laid over the background image. Thanks for joining the tea party this week.

Amazing card! Love the way you stamped on vellum and having those iconic 60's and SF images beneath it. I'm a big fan of this era...love the music,,,the Dead, Jimi, Jefferson Airplane, Janis...great idea for a card!

Well, I was in HS and college during those years and I absolutely love your card and the nostalgia it evokes. That music and those artists are still my favorite. Very creative!

A very cool CAS San Francisco card. I couldn't think of how the song went because all I could think was "I Left My Heart in San Francisco". LOL! But then I remembered how the Scott McKenzie song went. I always say that my favorite genre of music is one hit wonders

Yes, it is Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and inside, pictures of the Grateful Dead (that my son followed while at UCLA). Saw all of them at the Filmore....free....no one ever heard of these people in 1967. Glad I kept a few magazines...
