This card was very time consuming, even though it doesn't look it. I combined challenges as I have shingles and haven't felt that great lately. I used an old photo that I bought at Goodwill. On the back was written Pines in the Harz Mountains 1951. Harz Mountains are in Germany. I didn't stamp on my background for the sketch challenge as I used the photo instead. Color challenge is self explanatory.

Ouch, I'm sorry about the shingles. I remember when my mother had it - hope you start to feel better soon. That is a fabulous photo to have used, it reminds me of some of the vintage postcards I've picked up at junk sales in France. And I love how you turned it into such a super Christmas card.

Beautiful card, Jean. Your stenciled Peace sentiment has a nice icy look to it, perfect with the photo and die cut branches. So sorry you have shingles, hope you're getting some relief and you recover quickly. Thanks for playing in my challenge.

Your forest picture is a great thrift store find and your card is super! Shingles can be so miserable; making this card is a comforting accomplishment both physically and spiritually! Hope you’re better soon.

What a beautiful Christmas card, using the photo is such a great idea to create the vintage feel. So very sorry about your shingles, I have a dear friend with the same affliction and see how painful it can be. Take care and thank you for joining the Color Challenge!
