This card is for Stef's (dahlia19) beautiful Color Challenge. Her selected color combination is SU Smoky Slate, Watermelon Wonder, and Old Olive. The color combination is so beautiful. Stef's dessert option is to use a die cut sentiment/shape/image.
I used dies to create the floral arrangement, cage, and frame on my card. I colored the flowers and leaves with copic sketch markers closely related to Stef's colors.
I added additional layers to the flowers and some of the leaves to create a 2-dimensional floral arrangement. I placed a pearl in the center of the flowers. The cage and frame were cut from SU Smoky Slate cardstock.
Thank you for stopping by to view my card. I greatly appreciate comments!

What a delightful card, Bev! The bird cage is such a delicate die cut and the flower border looks stunning around it. Love the little flower buds and the pearl centers of the large blooms. So glad you were able to join the color challenge this week!

Catching up on some gallery gazing, and my eyes find this beauty. Love what you did with the colors. Very appealing using the dies, and always the right amount of each color. Like the design too! Wishing you a happy holiday week-end. We might be as hot as you this week. That doesn't happen too often.

The color combination was indeed a winner from the get-go, but I *love* where you took it with this card! The way the image is framed in the smoky slate color brings a soothing feel to the bright and cheerful pops of color in your foliage. Beautiful!
