Teapot Tuesdays have a current extra in the Sunshine Station thread. Ike is a WWII vet turning 100 in June, and he'd love to receive cards.
I went for using metal foil tape art to create a masculine background (see TLC438 for full details). I die-cut IKE, and a bunch of arrows, stars and gears and stuck them to a piece of card. Then I added short strips of metal tape. I rubbed them down well and used a stylus to define all the shapes, then ran around it with a tracing wheel. I used black paint, Deco Art antiquing cream (patina) and gold rub'n' buff to antique my piece.
Then I just added a sentiment stamped on vellum, and three birthday candles to help Ike celebrate his milestone birthday.
I actually made two of these panels while I was at it, one with no name, which I will likely use for my BIL who has an upcoming birthday.
