My card for the Try A New Technique challenge, Dying (or Die-ing!) For Words! to make a die-cut word the focal point of the card.
I die-cut the phrase Make A Wish four times, once out of Night of Navy, twice out of Ballet Blue, & once out of Daffodil Delight. I ran all the blue layers thru the Xyron, & stacked the Ballet Blue layers on the Night of Navy layer. I fussy-cut the stars from the Daffodil Delight die-cut, & glued them on the stacked layers.
Randomly stamped the "dots" on the WW CS, & the birthday cake in the corner, with Kaleidacolor ink. Colored the cake with the glitter gel pens. Added some of the 'negative' die-cut stars to the panel & colored with WOS. Added the bling to dot the i in "wish". After adhering the die-cut to the dotted panel, I stuffed the NON 'negative' stars into the spaces on the stacked die-cut, & added some WOS. (This looks better IRL!)
