It's time for a new Color Challenge! It's my turn to host this week and I've chosen the colors of Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive and Smoky Slate, with the dessert option to use a die cut sentiment/shape/image.
For my card, I watercolored and fussy cut the floral image, then mounted it over the base covered with striped patterned paper and a die cut border. I also used a Crimson colored pencil in the very shaded areas of the image and then painted with a shimmer pen.
The sentiment was die cut from both black and Watercolor Wonder card stocks, layered slightly offset so the black would provide a shadow. Once adhered to the base, crystal glaze was added from some nice shine. The final touch was to add black and white Nuvo crystal drops.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll be able to join the Color Challenge this week!
Stef

WOW, STEF, you and I were kinda sorta on the same wavelength this week - our cards look like they could belong in a notecard set! haha. LOVE LOVE LOVE these colors!! And I love your card!! I think I blew it on dessert - because I die cut my words, and thought that is what you meant but here i see you meant actual die cuts of sentiments. Oh well. Thanks for awesome colors my friend!

Beautiful choice if colors and design. I love the bold striped bg, vibrant flowers, black border element and your scattering of lack and white drops. The offset greeting looks great! Can't wait to play with these colors tomorrow!

Beautiful card and design. I'm always very impressed with the fussy cut talent that I see here in SCS, as yours looks like die cut. The fllowers are lovely and the black border accentuates their beauty.
