For Lyn's Frame It Doodle! challenge. I have a rare Monday at home, and decided to allow myself time off in between unpacking the shopping and starting the housework to start this - then I had to wait for the Stickles to dry!
Image stamped on the back of an old Audubon calendar which Bobbie's Girl sent me and I kept a lot of it for upcyling, it helped add the sort of vintage look I wanted. I also stamped it on several different scraps of paper and ended up using these two for my piecing. Drew a frame as per Lyn' instructions, made the base in a checked pattern and just added a couple of flowers in the rest, mimicking the dress on the form. All the flowers have white gel pen centres, and I coloured the ones in the frame with a pink Sharpie. I thought about adding green to the leaves, but decided to stick with monochromatic. Added Stickles for the choker, and a little pearl. Drew a border near the edge of the card, and scored one in between the outer edge and the framed image, after stamping the sentiment.
Thanks for a fun challenge, Lyn. I have a couple of old Hero Arts sets that come with this type of frame already stamped for me, it's a style I like.

Love your frame and the way you copied the flowers from the dress. I really like the calendar page that you used for the background--it adds just that perfect bit of subtle interest.

Marvelous!! I love the paper piecing, and the bg that peeps through to the front adds a touch of whimsy! Love the flowers added to the frame.
