My young hairdresser lost her Mother a few months ago and her husband asked me to make a card with some words he had written or found. This is the card I made for him.
The bg is made by swiping ink on aluminum foil, splashing on water and slapping the paper down. Once dry, I did a little stenciling ion the edges. The flowers were stamped on that same paper and then more color was added using markers.
She is going to love his thoughtfulness.
Hugz and happy Friday!

You did such a beautiful job on this card he asked for, I am sure he was so thankful that you made such a lovely card to ease this girls first Mother's day without her mom, the first was the hardest for me too. The background is so neat and the colors in the flowers are amazing!

just lovely, and warm - the vertical sentiment arrangement draws my eyes thru the rich background to the flowers

Beautiful background and such a lovely card. How thoughtful of your hairdresser's husband. The first of every special event after losing your mother is always especially hard.
