For today's color challenge, I had an idea that I wanted to make a stencil with my ScanNCut and layer the colors. I cut out a stencil of flowers and taped the flowers that were cut out to the paper and sponged on the Pear Tart. Then I laid on the negative space and sponged on the Picked Raspberry. But it needed something, so I traced around the flowers with gel pen. I had cut out the stencil with black paper so I could use the black flowers as embellishments. I paired them up with some felt flowers and green buttons. I got in dessert of a Mother's Day card. This will go to my mother in law. Last minute though? I still have plenty of time left...

Love the way some of the flowers are flat on the background, and then there are those that pop. It makes just the right amount of contrast.
