Here is my card for Karen (Art Deco Diva). Lisa challenged us to make shabby chic cards today. That's a tough one for me. I don't really know the definition of shabby chic, but she shared some photos of teapots covered in lace, ribbons, and buttons and it reminded me of this DP that I've had for ages. I've been working at actually using my oldest DP and the more I flip through it to use it the more I remember what I have to go back and use more of it. So I thought this was pretty perfect DP to use for the challenge. I chose to use SC41 for this card and found that this Summer Spray stamp was the perfect size and shape for it. I colored in very muted tones and sponged and distressed the edges. Finished off with some of my favorite gold and white twine and I'm very happy with my shabby chic card. I hope Karen will love it too.

This turned out great! It's definitely shabby chic...that bg looks like one of the teapots! I'm sure she will love getting this and just to know you're thinking of her.

Wow, what amazing paper. I had to look twice to be sure it wasn't lace. It's a perfect take for those teapots Lisa found, and the soft muted, almost bleached-out looking floral spray is perfect on it.

Ooh la la, this is couture shabby chic- it is gorgeous! I love the subtle coloring of the rose image- it matches the dsp perfectly! I also love the embossed piece you added behind the image panel- this is a bit unexpected and something I love! The white and gold twine tie this shabby chic card up perfectly. I am super impressed by this card considering you had to look up what shabby chic means- you are a natural! I love this card- thank you so much! ~Karen.

This is a perfect shabby chic card, and something you do quite well. Love that you're taking the time to go back through the old sketch challenges. Very inspiring.
