I was delighted to see Lisa's fun Shabby Chic for the Teapot Tuesday theme this week. It's not one of my go-to styles, but a friend who knew I was in Paris for my birthday sent me these beautiful papers and they were perfect - and the buttons and tiny little bow.
I embossed the pink paper and sponged with Antique Linen which added more interest but obliterated the soft pattern on it. Added fancy borders above and below, edging the top one with lace. Stitched to a piece of DP cut to the card size. Added the flowers and butterfly, with Dew Drops on the body.
The envelope was stamped with Bonjour, and has a little insert which you can see in the attachment I'm adding to my post on the challenge thread...just got time before heading to work.
Let's see your lovely shabby chic creations and, if you like to join our destination this week we are sending comforting thoughts to Karen (Art Deco Diva) whose mother died a few weeks ago.

Sabrina this is fabulous. I love the lace background embossing. Your graceful butterfly with all the gorgeous embellishments, the flowered paper that you die cut the corners making for a fabulous vocal point. The stitching is the final detail that pulls this beauty together. I love it!

Sabrina, this card is so gorgeous I am speechless. I am really touched that you used these very special papers, button and bow given to you by a dear friend. I love the way you used these gorgeous detailed border dies over this wonderful embossed and sponged piece. The lace is so delicate and beautiful and complements these wonderful flowers and delicate butterfly. I am with Jean in that your varied stitch width around this card is both impressive and beautiful. I am a real sucker for pearls and clear gems and yours are the perfect finishing touch on this perfectly shabby chic card. Thank you so much Sabrina- I am truly touched! ~Karen.

So many pretty feminine touches to your shabby chic creation, Sabrina! I really love how you sponged your embossed panel; very effective! Beautiful papers with dainty lace trim...sweet tiny bow, love the gold on the butterfly! Your packet of (tea, maybe?) is a nice addition along with your framed stitching~

Gorgeous papers Sabrina, and love all the details you included, especially the stitched border. I’ve never sewn on paper/CS and your design is very inspiring!

Oh, this is so sweet and shabby! Love the colors, the different layers, and the touches of lace! Your stitched border pulls it all together so wonderfully!
