This is for Julie's Inspiration Challenge for Grandinroad website. This rug jumped out at me. I was intrigued by the overlapping leaves, colors and texture:
I started by creating the background of layered embossed leaves and small stamped leaves. The paper & ink is Soft Sky. I have a bunch of this rose image stamped out for a project from years ago. Today, I grabbed one for this card and watercolored with Soft Sky & Lost Lagoon with a touch of soft pink for the roses. Die-cut into an oval and added glitter pen to the ribbon and dots. I lightly sponged the edge of the oval and punched sentiment with Soft Sky. This card is going to a critically ill young woman; she likes roses, blue and encouraging Bible verses. TFL

A perfect card for this young lady. Beautiful, soothing colors and a wonderful verse.

Very pretty - love the Soft Sky as a background for that pretty rose.
