I've combined today's Featured Stamper challenge with the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge. Because when I saw this card by our FS, conniecrafter (what a gorgeous gallery, I could explore all day) I thought it looked like cross stitch and wouldn't it be cool to stamp a bunch of flowers and emboss the Canvas stamp over it in white. So I got out my Poppy Birthday set, because I thought they would be great flowers for this. I stamped them and colored them and then embossed the Canvas stamp over it. Very cool effect. Looks like faux fabric. This also works for Anne's May Flowers CCEE challenge. This is a birthday card for my friend Betty. She loves my cards, so her husband asked if I would make one for her from him.
Oh my - that is one cool background! I never would have thought to do the canvas stamp over the top of your image like - you're right it does look like fabric! LOVE it!! Gorgeous card!
Thanks so much for linking this up to the Cropstop blog! Good luck in the random draw.

Oh, Jen! I LOVE this effect and think it's amazing! How creative you are! I have done a lot of cross-stitching, and my mom was a expert (I have some of her work that I cherish). Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous, and your friend is going to love it! What a fabulous use of Julee's sketch too! Pinned and fav'd this one, for sure! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
