Thanks to the bright mornings and Jeanne's early post, here is my card for this week's Keeping Simple MIXed media challenge.
Maybe now while I'm at work I can think of a way to knock out a few Christmas cards this afternoon to fit the challenge remit, as I am woefully behind.
For this, I masked the border and then stencilled the background with DOX inks.
Stamped the images and coloured them with Prima Confections (tropical) and added the ground with an Inktense pencil. Added some Liquid Pearls to the cactus, stamped a sentiment, popped the image panel up and called it done. And still twenty minutes before I need to leave for work! I did consider adding some gold splatters to the background, but left it clean.
Oh, and I edged the rectangle with a metallic distress crayon, which buys me an extra medium ;-). Edged with great care: I have discovered that those crayons, being slightly crumbly, are even worse than Brushos at getting where you don't want them.

Wonderful Southwest card, Sabrina. So bright and cheerful. Your stenciled bd is lovely and is the perfect backdrop for those pretty cactus. I have several potted cactus in my yard and that are all blooming now. I wish you could drop by to enjoy them.
