This card was made for my Mother-in-Law for Mother's Day. She used to enjoy going to Northern Minnesota lake area in the summers for vacation, so I thought a beach-side theme would be perfect.
The card base is 7"x 10" piece of SU Island Indigo cardstock scored and folded in half. The front panel is 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" SU Marina Mist cardstock misted lightly with water before running it through my Big Shot in the SU "Seaside" embossing folder.
The vertical panel is SU Very Vanilla sponged with various shades of blue, So Saffron, and Crumb Cake inks. The birds on the top of the vertical panel are stamped in Stazon Timber Brown ink using a stamp from SU's "High Tide" stamp set. The panel was then matted with Island Indigo cardstock.
The Very Vanilla circle was stamped with Stazon Timber Brown ink using a retired 2003 SU stamp set called "Sketches". It was cut out with a 2-3/4" Nestabilities circle die, then matted with an Island Indigo 3" circle cut with a Marvy punch.
The embossed front panel was glued to the card base using Tombow multi-purpose liquid glue, as wast the sponged panel to it's mat, and the circle to it's mat.
I wrapped a piece of SU Linen twine around the matted sponged panel three times, and then tied a simple bow. This panel was mounted to the embossed front panel using large thick glue dots to raise it off the card. The matted circle was likewise attached with large thick glue dots.
I hope she likes it! It went together pretty well, so I am giving it a difficulty rating of "3" out of "5" due to the sponging and all the steps it took to construct.

Thank you, PebbleKraft! I debated about coloring in the stamped image, but then decided it would be too much color. The simple sketch conveyed the easy going times by the water. -Donna
