This is the card which started my adventure into die cutting. I designed this card for Brother Australia as a project for the ScanNCut. The design was so popular that I decided to see if I could devise a way that I could make the card using a manual die cutting machine as not everyone has an electronic cutting machine. In order to make it work I had to come up with a way to align the cutting of the apertures and spinner sections that was accurate and repeatable and hit on the idea of using a scoreboard to make the cross-hairs on which to align the dies. In order for this to be accurate I also had to mark my dies and so an idea became a "do-able" process. The process used not only applies to spinner cards but any die cutting which requires placement in a specific area of a card. I use it to align multiple aperture cards, shaker cards, frames etc. I have examples of these type of cards on my Facebook page, Cards, Quilts and Fabric Creations - Made by Jen. I have two albums, String Spinner/Suspension Cards and the other is Cross Hair Aperture Cards.
