I made this card for this week's featured stamper who is donnaks. I am not very familiar with Donna's work so I very much enjoyed going through her gallery. I chose this card because we are praying in MN that spring did not skip us this year so we are hoping the trees will leaf out yet: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/g...0&ppuser=12992. My mother passed away the day after Easter and she loved May when the flowering crab trees would bloom right around Mother's Day so I made this card in honor of my mother too. I used Kitchen Sink Multi-layer stamps to make the tree, and I chose pink inks so this would be a flowering crab tree. Then I quickly stamped another tree onto copy paper and fussy cut it out, put repositionable adhesive on the back, placed it over my stamped tree and using a stamp-a-ma-jig added the trees from the Lovely As A tree stamp set in the background. This is what our place looks like in spring. We have this gorgeous flowering crab tree that will be in full bloom and all the trees in the woods behind it are still bare of any leaves. The woodgrain background was stamped using a woodgrain stamp multiple times onto kraft cardstock using a stamp-a-ma-jig. I am in love with Precious Kitty's Creations stamps so I chose this wonderful sentiment to place on this card. I want to congratulation Donna for being this week's featured stamper and I hope you enjoy your week in the spotlight. This card would not have been made if it were not for your lovely card Donna so I thank you for that. Thanks for looking! ~Karen.

What a lovely card. Our mother's are in our hearts always. Love the beautiful flowering crab apple tree. This time of the year is so beautiful, reminding us of the renewal of life. I'm sure your sentiment is a wonderful commemoration to a life well lived and the woman who taught you to do the same.
