On the 28th of every month, the CYS (Challenge Your Stash) members post a card that fits the month's theme. This month, Sue was our hostess, and she reminded us that "April showers bring May flowers." So we are to make a card that depicts flowers and/or showers. The name of our group comes from the fact that we're not to buy any new items in order to make our card for the challenge; everything comes from our stash!
Since I'm a Seattle girl, I had to go with the showers theme. I've had this adorable duck stamp for several months, and it finally saw ink! I am fairly new at watercoloring and still have a lot to learn, but I enjoy it so much! I went a little crazy with the color combo, but I like the bright colors—especially for a rainy day. I covered my duckie's boots with Crystal Effects, and the water and umbrella handle with glitter gloss.
I stamped the "ribbon" with black ink, and after it was completely dry, I overstamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder.
Thanks for taking a look! Our group is open for new members, and we'd love to have you join us!

This is adorable, Barbara! That little duck in his bright colors certainly does bring sunshine! I love the way you framed him and I love the "ribbon" with the sentiment across the bottom. Great card for the CYS challenge!
