This is for Kittie's Featured Stamper Challenge honoring Suzy ~ SuzyS1104. Excellent choice! This card of hers caught my eye: A Blooming Birthday by SuzyS1104 at Splitcoaststampers
The flowers were the one stamp in the set that I had not used. I liked how Suzy only used the top part of the image. I wanted to copy Suzy's card exactly, but I changed some things to make it my own. Suzy is an expert with the colored pencils. I practiced with my new Blends markers and changed the colors. I went with portrait orientation and stamped the strip on the left side. I still used speckles with a different stamp. I decided to crimp the layer underneath the image and tie some linen thread around. I kept the birthday theme with a different stamp. Couldn't forget the butterfly. I'm pleased with it and I think I'll make some more. Thanks Suzy for inspiring my card today! Thanks Kittie for the challenge. TFL

This is a super case of Suzy's card and I love all the yellow...makes me think the sun is shining outside but it ISN'T (raining). Just the same, the yellow is a lifter upper.

These are beautiful Spring colors, Diane; I love yellow and green together! I like the stamped element along the left side, the linen thread wrapped around the flower panel and that sweet, tiny butterfly.
