So you are probably wondering how I got from Taina Caragol's portrait block to Mother Teresa, but I was drawn to the man's wrinkles and I have been trying to think of wrinkles in a new light lately. I am trying to think of them as amazing life lines and it helps me to think of Mother Teresa when I do that and then I thought one of her quotes would make a great BAJ page and somehow I got to this BAJ page.
This month's BAJ theme is Believe. Mother Teresa was a true believer and she put this faith into everything she did. She believed God manifested in each person presented to her so that she could easily love everyone - even those who others said were unlovable. Her wrinkles are so wonderful - I know I didn't get them captured too well but this page makes me smile. So I am trying to believe my wrinkles are wonderful too. I paired her and her words with 1 Timothy 6:17-19 - instructions to the rich and to church leaders.

Wow! Your sketching is great, Nancy. Wish I could do that. It's an awesome Bible journal page. But, just had to laugh when you said you were trying to think of wrinkles in a new light. You're too funny.

I think wrinkles always show the character and grit of a person. They speak a lot about the lives like road maps. Roads are always different for every person and not everyone chooses the easy roads. There are the ones less traveled and might include the limbs we went out on to do the Lord's work. A great tribute to a very special Godly woman. Fabulous drawing too.

You are an amazing artist and now that everyday I see more of my mothers face coming out in mine, I think to her life and all that she went through good and bad and realized the same thing that I am owning my wrinkles now Great job!
