I focused on Suzy's:
-horizontal strip of vertical stripes (does that even make sense?!)
-colours
-birthday theme
I changed:
-technique to create stripes rather than paper
-fewer layers
-no ribbon
-position of sentiment
I used the new MFT Envelope Buddy as a stencil and blended Catherine Pooler inks over top to create my stripes. Before I removed the stencil I spritzed the inks with some water for texture and interest.

I was just looking at that envelope buddy on MFT's site the other day and thinking, hmm. It certainly made a wonderful stencil for your horizontal element; I love that soft sponging and the luscious colors you chose. This is going straight into my faves : )

This card just popped out at me from the gallery. The fun colors and cute image and maybe surprisingly for me all that lovely white space. White space makes me nervous when I try to do it, but I find it appealing on other people's cards! Go figure!
