A big congrats to Suzy, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a wonderful gallery & since she lives in Texas & I am from Texas, I couldn't resist picking THIS card to case. She has a lot of Tx themed cards but I liked the Tx flag on the balloon so I kept that. I used different stamps & dies & put my Tx flag on a punch out of the state outline.
This card turned out to be a little trickier than I thought it would. Mostly because the big Hot Air Balloons bg die actually has a very large balloon in the lower left that I didn't want to be there. So I had to die cut it pretty carefully using a smaller top plate to avoid cutting it out. A tiny bit of it did start to cut so I covered it up by die cutting a small cloud in that area (just to right of her face). I also die cut the larger lt blue layer & lined it up a little off to shadow the white. The right balloon has a colored Tx state punch under it. The little cowgirl was done separately & fussy cut around the top & sides to go on top.
Congrats again, Suzy! Thanks so much for looking. Closeups, the inside & Copic colors are on my blog:The Write Stuff

Wow!! I love this beautiful card, Julie! The little cowgirl image is so beautiful and the hot-air balloons are marvelous. The "howdy" sentiment with the rope tail is fantastic, and the red, white and blue state of Texas die cut is fabulous! What honor you showed in casing Suzy's beautiful card!
