For the Inspirations Challenge (IC646), the site is the Smithsonian & I chose THIS as my inspiration. I have always wanted to visit the Smithsonian museums..hopefully one day I'll get there.
The ruby slippers image was placed into my Misti, stamped (leaving off the original greeting), colored w/ Copics & a Prismacolor pencil overlay, then stamped again. Since it's a really large image, I had to use a large pierced die to cut it. The shoes were masked & I stamped the clockworks & little gears down the left w/ the gray ink then I stamped the magic shoes greeting. I didn't really want to cover up all the coloring w/ glitter, so I added a narrow red glitter layer behind the panel.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups, Copic colors & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Wow! Julie, those are really some sassy shoes. Red hot and bold. Those gears really sent them over the top. Super steampunk card!!! I wonder what Dorothy would think of these.

WOW!!! What striking red shoes to represent Dorothy's magical shoes! Your coloring is marvelous and the steampunk stamping on the background and on the shoes is fabulous. The sentiment is fantastic! Love the card, Julie!

Julie, what great images you used on this and that sentiment is so perfect! Wow! This is wonderful and magical. Perfect inspiration picture too. I have been to a few of the Smithsonian museums and they are so amazing. It is so hard to pick museums in Washington...Your card would fit right in one of those museums by the way. Hugz
