"Fluttering in" and waving hello after a very, very long absence. I see that in the last five years I've only managed to upload 5 cards - none in the last three years. Oops. How time flies. I will blame that on our almost 5-year-old 'grand-twins' (we blame a lot of things on them) and also on the fact that we have become snowbirds. I seem to be always packing or unpacking my supplies and making cards so close to deadlines that I rarely remember to take a photo of them.
Figured I'd ease my way back into SCS by picking one of the weekly challenges and see if I even remember how to upload.
Chose a die with a butterfly because I never turn down dessert. Used watercolor paper to cut out the die, cut a second layer out of heavy cardstock and glued the two layers together to give it some more dimension.
'Smooshed' the three ink pads directly onto my work surface - I was fortunate enough to add the TH Glass Media Mat to my collection of goodies while in Arizona - and I love it. Used my aqua painter to 'paint' the ink onto my die cut. Used varying amounts of water with the Blackberry to get different shades for the butterflies and the flowers. Popped on some pearls, layered it up and called it done.
Hope I can manage to upload another card before another 3-5 years zip by. Thanks for looking. :-)

Waving back and so glad you chose the Color Challenge for your return! I love how you used the challenge colors on that lovely die cut, and the pearls add the perfect touch of elegance. I'm looking forward to seeing you again in the gallery soon!

Oh, Heather!!! It's so wonderful to see you in the gallery, and I am thrilled to know of your precious "grand-twins" who have surely made way deep into your hearts! And I'm sure you have taken many photos, right?! Oh, I love how you've created this card, and it's gorgeous...and uses the colors for this week beautifully! I love the added pearls to finish this beautiful card! Heather, it sounds like you are a busy family with being snowbirds, and I hope we see you again sooner than five years. But we'll always be here for you!! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo

Beautiful die and I love how you colored it up. Great matting too - brings out the colors. It is good to see you again Heather. Great excuses not to be posting cards though. Enjoy them and your travels. Hugz!!!

Woo Hoo Heather is BACK!!! I love your use of the array of die cuts. Very pretty. That's right, blame it on the family! I haven't been able to upload much now days either. I try every so often. Keep that travelin' up and protect those punches!

Oh goodness, Heather, it's great to see a card from you. Pamzi notified me you had made a card and it's beautiful. Somehow, it reminds me of a piece of needlepoint. I'm sure you've been super busy with the twins but so glad you found your way back. Hope you'll be able to make more cards and visit with all of us.
