Sounds to me like a crimper is an old tool that everyone used to use, but doesn't anymore. Because you know that if you all did still use it, I would have had to run out and buy one. But, alas, I never felt the need to buy one, and so I've used cardboard on my card today. I've never actually used a piece of cardboard on my card, but I have admired it on others' cards. Turns out it's a lot easier to peel apart than I expected. I did kind of a messy white wash with acrylic paint over my cardboard and then just started throwing things at my card. First I decided that the edges needed gold EP. Then I though it needed glitter and I got this idea into my head that what if I cut out a stencil with my ScanNCut, spray over it with adhesive and then spread glitter on it. This is what you get--a big mess of glitter--which makes everything better! I had a good time making this card this morning. Thanks for the fun challenge, Sabrina!

Wow, I love this because it is so full of texture and patterns. The twine and torn paper just add to the fun of it all.

This looks great Jen! You're right on about the crimper being an old tool that we all used to need. Your torn card board looks wonderful with the white wash.

The fun part is trying to clean all the glitter up!!!!!!!!!! I love what you did with the corrugated cardboard, and the embossed image is so pretty!! You can still get a crimper, you know! HA!

Yep, corrugated boxes really are easy to pull apart and don't they look great? Well, I say that from looking at other cards because I don't often think to do it myself. I like the way you've paired the rustic look with the more upmarket gold, a great combination.
Personally I think buying a new crimper last year was a really good move, I'm surprised how many people say they regret theirs. My first one must have been a dud.

This is a Mixed Media Marvel, Jen! Love the contrast of the gold with the cardboard, so striking and pretty. I'm wondering how much glitter you're wearing ;)

Very clever what you did with the glitter. I never think to do things like that. I have always loved the look of cardboard with the white acrylic paint, kind of shabby-chic. Go to Blicks and get yourself a crimper. I'll give you directions

I imagine you're wearing some of that glitter on your face now (the always happens to me)...I think this turned out great...the corrugated cardboard adds a lot of interest and I like the way you added the white to it. Awesome MM card
