MIX271 = Inspiration from Pinterest - search for inspiration on a specific theme
I need a card for a young friend's birthday next month so this was perfect timing. Geography is his favourite subject in school so I wanted to use my new globe die, so I searched Pinterest with the words "mixed media, globe, green, blue". I chose this very simple image and this more complex one and made a card between the two.
I created a background for the globe with blue brushos sprinkled and spritzed on coated cs. I die cut the globe out of mixed media cs and smooshed it in various green and brown Oxide inks. I glued it to the blue background and trimmed away the excess blue.
I used a star stencil and embossing paste to create a background panel, added the globe to it, attached it to a linen card base, and finished off with two Tim Holtz rub-ons.

Susan, I love how your mixed media globe looks. I haven't seen this die and now it is on my ever growing wish list. Especially since I just looked at the results of your search and seeing your creation. Thank you so much for playing along with my challenge. I hope the rest of your day is filled with blessings.

Fabulous card! Love the embossed stars, the die-cut globe and the sentiments. Wonderful coloring! Your title has my DH's name so it especially caught my eye. He would definitely like this card as I do. Terrific! TFS
